Psalm 90:17

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us ~ yes, establish the work of our hands.

GREAT KNEWS!!

Our first order of Lion Brand Yarn arrived today!!!!
We will have it all unpacked and ready for you tomorrow!

And yesterday we signed up another young lady for consignment. She brought in three beautifully crocheted items and said she would be bringing in more. Welcome Abby Pepin!

We will be shipping out prayer shawls to Peggy tomorrow for the October China trip. Appreciate all your prayers for whatever God has planned on this trip for everyone! Depending on internet, etc. Peggy tries to post on their blog, so you can follow them here:

We all love to have cool shops open....but, unless there is food involved, people do not quickly change their pattern and dash over to support them. It is great to love the thought of having a yarn shop, or used book store, or art gallery in the neighborhood, but getting over to it is a whole nother story.
We really do appreciate all the support and help in getting things started here and getting the word out!
Again, thanks SO MUCH for joining with us in this journey!

More People Stuff, please

“What is The Lamb’s Loom?”….well, we hear that a lot.

Perhaps it would help to start with what we’re not!

{Lovely Barbara modeling the finished frog hat
before it is sent off the Mexico}

What we know is, we’re not a fancy yarn shop.

Our heart is set on being about the people, not the process.

{Here is the sweet girl who was given the frog hat
up in the mountains of Durango, Mexico.}

Whether it is a connection made sitting with each other in the KnitWit room, or the love someone half way around the world feels when they receive a prayer shawl…above all, we’re about the people.

The shop in the Lamb’s Loom is helping to provide the resources to do more “people” stuff!

There are lovely handcrafted gifts and furniture for sale AND YARN!!! The selection and prices are great…a little something for everyone.

The KnitWit room is available any time you’d like to come by for a few peaceful minutes.

Even if you don’t knit, there’s always a chair for you at The Lamb’s Loom!

Good Morning!

Our first day open was just great! Many thanks to everyone who stopped by to wish us well and to check out just what The Lamb’s Loom is all about!!!

All the support and the well-wishes and the prayers are very much appreciated. Ann even brought her laptop to Skype with her parents and give them a personal tour of the whole shop…that was fun!

We made a few flowers in preparation for the classes beginning next week. Super easy and lots of fun! (psst…you really should sign up for one of these classes! )

And my mom brought by a hat and scarf that she made using some of the new yarn from Cascade Yarns. It is sooooo soft and easy to work with!

Don’t forget, the GRAND OPENING PARTY is tomorrow from 4-6:30. There will be several door prize drawings.

AND, our little lamb needs a name! So, put your thinking cap on. We will have a sheet for you to put your idea down and the one we pick will get one free class session!

Hope to see you tomorrow!!!

Lambs and Dragons, oh my!

We are all sooooo excited! More lovely things are coming in every day! A VERY special THANK YOU to our friend Debbie Morton for this lovey new lamb rug.
It just pulls the whole room together so beautifully!!!

And here, Kaylie is modeling our newest arrival...the dragon. She is the happiest looking dragon we've ever seen!

It is super encouraging to have so many people help in spreading the word about our goals and ministry! This past week we've had several inquiries for consignment item placement AND one teacher shared with us a request to have her students get involved in the Mexico missions outreach!

Tonight is our blessing service at the shop....we appreciate your prayers and words of encouragement along the journey!

Something New!!!!

That seems to be the theme everyday...SOMETHING NEW!!!

Just last week we received the official paper work from the State of Texas, with a seal and everything, stating that we are who we say we are! Ah, progress

New items are arriving everyday, too!  We have a couple of our consignment people already set up. We still have room for and would LOVE to have more people add their talents to the room. So, if you know of anyone, please feel free to pass our contact info on to them!

And the KnitWits met here for the first time last Thursday. There are chests set up for donations to our Mexico and China missions. We are all looking forward to MANY more times together here!

The blessing service for Jac-Lin's Florist and The Lamb's Loom is this Friday. We truly want to thank everyone for all the encouraging words along the way....OPENING SOON!!!

Moving Day!

All the prayers, the dreams and the hopes...and here we are! What fun to see The Lamb's Loom begin to take shape. We still have all kinds of things to get done, so we appreciate everyone's continued prayers and help.

The front room will house the shop area. All of the sales here will go to support this ministry! In addition to our "yarn" things, there will be all kinds of fun, original gift items available. We are also looking for more people to add consignment items. (if you know of someone, please have them contact us!)

This is our gathering room and will be the area for classes and a meeting space for prayer and bible study groups. There are more chairs and side table to come, of course...envision "cozy"!

It also has two chests in it...they will hold everyone's contributions to Mexico and China. Have we mentioned that space bags are our friend?

So, check in again as we'll have opening day info, class schedules and much-MUCH MORE!
