WOW!!! We are soooo humbled & blessed by the generosity of everyone!

THIS is why we are here!

Today was sorting day...
when we gather all the donations for the year and get them ready to go out for Christmas with several missionaries in Mexico, and this year with the abundance, we are able to send several boxes to be distributed in Tennessee and Kentucky to those left with nothing because of the wildfires there.

YOU contributed over 1400 beautifully, kindly given items....and that doesn't count the 8 big bags that will go out to China the beginning of next year!

Praying our gifts send love and encouragement to those who receive these gorgeous gifts...

There's just aren't enough words to thank you all...

Summer Already?

It is hard to believe it, but summer is almost here! We are busy getting classes all set and some are already listed on this blog...just click on the CLASSES tab and you will find the listing. All our events are listed on our calendar, too, so feel free to share with your friends!

We really want to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who keeps adding to the donation chest. Currently, it is filling up within the week!!!! Space Bags abound around here! We are sooooo happy to see how God is getting the word out about the missions that we serve and the things He keeps adding to what we can do.

There will be a delivery of the condiments to Reynosa soon, so if you have anything you would like to drop by, please do!!!

As for the shop, happy to report that more and more local people are finding the shop everyday! Driving in from Brownsville, Corpus and RGC! Thank y'all for sharing and getting the word out to everyone!!!!
Last month we added Malabrigo Yarn to our selection and picked up a few new yarns from Universal  and Cascade Yarns. We also have three new ladies who are contributing their lovely work to the consignment collection. We're only able to do this because of your support and help, so THANK YOU!!!

Perfect Start!

WHAT FUN....and a PERFECT start to the New Year!!!

Thanks to everyone who turned out for our Second Annual Yarn Tasting. LOTS of fun and new faces, too! We also had lots of people signing up for all the upcoming classes and workshops. You can see them on our FaceBook page, or here on the blog, too: Lamb's Loom Class Listing  If you missed out on the sign up, just send an email, call or come by and we will get you added in. The ColorWork on the Long Loom class is filled up, so keep an eye out for another one soon!

We were also so very honored to have our new friend Gail White join us for the day! She will be offering several weaving, drop spindle and dye classes coming up. The first is a Loom Workshop. We already have two workshops filled up and working on dates for others!!! Let us know what you'd like to join in on, as class size is limited.

Special thank you to everyone who came and put so many lovely items in the donations chest! You are a blessing to soooo many!!!!

And apparently there was an "un-knotting party" in the front room! Who knew?

We hope you didn't miss Dianna with her new stock of DG Crazed Yarns...AND Alys' lovely scarf that she contributed for the day!

Well, in the middle of yarns and swifting and snacking, we hope you all had as much fun as we did!

Happy 2016 to you all...
May your knots be few, your purls be many and your stitches continue to be blessed to share God's love throughout the world!

Hope Filled Week!

Last week was such a blessing...THANKS to all who participated! We were soooo blessed to have Peggy and Jon Sperling drive all the way from Colorado, picking Hope up along the way, just to visit all us KnitWits!
Peggy is the director of Women Connect in China and she has been taking teams...with space bags full of shawls/hats, of course...to China for the last few years. 17 trips so far!!!
It was such a blessing for everyone to get to meet them and hear stories from China. We really have no idea the impact our shawls and hats have on so many.

One of the precious things is that Hope brought her prayer shawl with her to "meet" the ladies that created it. For those new to the KnitWits, Peggy used to give Hope a shawl on every trip to China! Not because she needed tons of shawls, but because every time Hope got one, she would then come across the path of someone who needed the encouragement of receiving one!   SO, that got us thinking and we made her one of her very own. We spent weeks passing it around and everyone added their favourite color and then Ann put little wooden hearts on each section with that person's name on it. THAT is the shawl she brought with her from China to be with her during her time here. Not all of us still live here, etc., but she did get to meet many of the names on that shawl....and each time she would find that lady's heart and just hold on to it.

Oh! What an amazing time we had praying over all these things that are off to China for the September trip! It was soooo special to have Hope and Peggy with us for this....

Peggy sharing more stories of their travels in China....could hear a pin drop!

Dottie and Jo finally got to meet!!! :D

We showed Hope the donation chest and then SHE got to pick out things to send on the next trip....THAT was a first!!!

Hope just had to show Terri that these had been thoroughly tested, before sending them off!  
We got to tell Hope that Mary (on the left) always sends her shawls with a matching hat, so now she's got a friend's face with her when they are given away....a little more of the prayer shawl story woven together.

Angela taught Hope how to make a flower on the loom...so now, she's a KnitWit! Right?
  

A quick stop at Shipley's before leaving town, of course!!!
We kept them busy for the three days they were here, meeting and making friends, while they shared stories about their work in China and other parts of the world.
God just filled these three days with precious times and sweet memories. Your prayers over it all, led the way....thank you!

Just so ya know, Ann's first knee replacement surgery went very well!!!  She is doing really well at all the physical therapy, too. The other knee will be done tomorrow AND they say if she continues this progress, she'll just be sent straight home and do therapy from there!!! Thanks in advance for all the continued prayers....she'll be up and running in no time! 
Prayers & Purls

For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.
