Good Morning!

Our first day open was just great! Many thanks to everyone who stopped by to wish us well and to check out just what The Lamb’s Loom is all about!!!

All the support and the well-wishes and the prayers are very much appreciated. Ann even brought her laptop to Skype with her parents and give them a personal tour of the whole shop…that was fun!

We made a few flowers in preparation for the classes beginning next week. Super easy and lots of fun! (psst…you really should sign up for one of these classes! )

And my mom brought by a hat and scarf that she made using some of the new yarn from Cascade Yarns. It is sooooo soft and easy to work with!

Don’t forget, the GRAND OPENING PARTY is tomorrow from 4-6:30. There will be several door prize drawings.

AND, our little lamb needs a name! So, put your thinking cap on. We will have a sheet for you to put your idea down and the one we pick will get one free class session!

Hope to see you tomorrow!!!

Lambs and Dragons, oh my!

We are all sooooo excited! More lovely things are coming in every day! A VERY special THANK YOU to our friend Debbie Morton for this lovey new lamb rug.
It just pulls the whole room together so beautifully!!!

And here, Kaylie is modeling our newest arrival...the dragon. She is the happiest looking dragon we've ever seen!

It is super encouraging to have so many people help in spreading the word about our goals and ministry! This past week we've had several inquiries for consignment item placement AND one teacher shared with us a request to have her students get involved in the Mexico missions outreach!

Tonight is our blessing service at the shop....we appreciate your prayers and words of encouragement along the journey!

Something New!!!!

That seems to be the theme everyday...SOMETHING NEW!!!

Just last week we received the official paper work from the State of Texas, with a seal and everything, stating that we are who we say we are! Ah, progress

New items are arriving everyday, too!  We have a couple of our consignment people already set up. We still have room for and would LOVE to have more people add their talents to the room. So, if you know of anyone, please feel free to pass our contact info on to them!

And the KnitWits met here for the first time last Thursday. There are chests set up for donations to our Mexico and China missions. We are all looking forward to MANY more times together here!

The blessing service for Jac-Lin's Florist and The Lamb's Loom is this Friday. We truly want to thank everyone for all the encouraging words along the way....OPENING SOON!!!

Moving Day!

All the prayers, the dreams and the hopes...and here we are! What fun to see The Lamb's Loom begin to take shape. We still have all kinds of things to get done, so we appreciate everyone's continued prayers and help.

The front room will house the shop area. All of the sales here will go to support this ministry! In addition to our "yarn" things, there will be all kinds of fun, original gift items available. We are also looking for more people to add consignment items. (if you know of someone, please have them contact us!)

This is our gathering room and will be the area for classes and a meeting space for prayer and bible study groups. There are more chairs and side table to come, of course...envision "cozy"!

It also has two chests in it...they will hold everyone's contributions to Mexico and China. Have we mentioned that space bags are our friend?

So, check in again as we'll have opening day info, class schedules and much-MUCH MORE!

...For the LORD your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete. Deuteronomy 16:15

And so we begin!

WOW!!! There is so much to tell and share...where to start? I think Ann said it best to a friend the other day, so we'll just start there. :)

My friend Jeanie and I are in the process of forming a 501C3 non-profit ministry in connection with our KnitWit group.  I have had a desire placed upon my heart many years ago by the Lord to use my talents and abilities for Him in a creative way.  I tried a few times to "do it on my own" and ran ahead of Him and His plan.  Always He closed the doors because I did not wait on Him.  After giving up several times, but never losing the dream, I believe the time is now.

Jeanie and I share the same mindset.  We have been blessed with a location for a learning/meeting room, as well as, a room for a shop to help with funding.  Our facility would be used by the KnitWits, book clubs, bible study groups, classes, etc.  Our shop space would be all handmade items sold on consignment with the profits put back into the shop and paying for our mission expenses of making the prayer shawls and hats and shipping them all over the world.

The name of our shop/organization:

The Lamb's Loom

Our Slogan:

Praying for the world, one stitch at a time.

Our mission statement:

The Lamb’s Loom is an evangelical prayer ministry that instructs people in the craft of loom knitting and other fiber arts, in order to encourage their personal growth in Christ and enabling them to develop a habit of serving others less fortunate by sharing the love of Christ through the giving of personally crafted items to Christian missionaries in our local community and abroad.

There have been soooo many wonderful things happening in the last few weeks. We have been blessed to see God move all this at a pace that we could grasp and move into. One of them actually is the place we'll be moving into. Our friend Jacque has made space for us in part of her flower shop.Others have offered help in start up costs....and our friend Audrey has joined the board as our third! We are all soooo very excited as we move forward stitch by stitch!!!
GOD IS GOOD!!!!

And so, we begin! We believe in covering this work in prayer and we truly appreciate all of you who join us in doing just that! We will keep you updated on the progress of putting all this together. We have already had contact from so many who want to help or participate in this....THANK YOU!!!!
Prayers & Purls!!!

And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Col. 3:14 & 15
