Make-Along News!

 WOW! It's June!

Half the year is almost over and it has flown by. These months of 2021 have been such an encouragement to all of us!

We introduced this year's Make-Along last March and that was new for The Lamb's Loom, but y'all took it and ran with it! So far this year the Donation Chest is overflowing with Painted Bunting hats, Kiskadee scarves, Spoonbill shawls and Yellow-Breasted Chat blankets, etc....a-ma-ZING!!! Your gift of giving and creativity will be such a blessing to soooo many!

If you haven't heard of our Make-Along, join us! There's more info right here on our website:

Lamb's Loom 2021 Make-Along

Your donated items continue to come in everyday, overflow the Donation Chest and we are so thankful. For those who have combined their donation with at little LL yarn, thank you! Every little bit keeps the lights on, ya know!

#storytime

Meet the newest member of The Lamb's Loom Family!!! 💖

What a fun story of friends this little one has to share...SO, let's get started...

Over the last year we have collected bags of premie hats, many more than we could distribute. This happens because, as we teach our "learn to" classes, many people opt for the smallest hat for the class. Which is great! It helps them learn the techniques needed in a timely way. What does happen tho', is a disproportionate number of premie/doll hats coming in during some years.

WELL, this year Ann came up with a fantastic idea!!! The Lamb's Loom Swaddle Baby Doll pattern. (Crochet pattern currently available...knit & loom knit on the way!)  We are putting together kits for these adorable dolls to be created by you!

Here's how it goes:

🧶Call and purchase a kit for $20. (each kit makes 2 dolls)

🧶You can specify girl or boy colors and we will select hats and yarns to match!

🧶We will send it out to you.
🧶You're welcome to keep the dolls for the children in your life...
🧶OR send it back to The Lamb's Loom to be added to the Donation Chest, and they will be sent to one of the several orphanages we serve.

THAT'S IT!

We are currently accepting orders over the phone, Tuesday thru Thursday noon to 3 p.m. and mailing out on Fridays. AND now, in addition to CC over the phone, we accept CashApp and PayPal.

We are forever grateful to everyone who is contributing in so many ways to keep this ministry going strong!!!! You all bring new meaning to #stitchitforward 💖

"Winter" Time at The Lamb's Loom

What a fun “winter” we are having!

Everyone is enjoying seeing our returning friends and making new ones. And, as always, the classes are a favorite time for all!

Y’all know we just couldn’t do what we do without all of our Winter Texan friends. Their encouragement, laughs and hugs brighten our days when they are “home” in Texas. So many have now joined our ministry and given of their time and talents and we are so very grateful!  And don’t forget all the lovely items added to our donation chest!

Last year’s donation chest total was over 4300 items. We are half way through February and we’re already over 700 items donated in 2020. What a blessing these lovingly created, handmade gifts will be to so many people around the world. These items that are given are the tangible gifts of caring for another.

Everyone is welcome to join us in the journey of spreading a little joy around our world. You don’t have to knit or crochet, either. Our gift shop, The BaaBaa Boutique, helps fund this mission, along with your tax deductible donations!

And become a PEG! Pray, Encourage, Give….Remember, The Lamb’s Loom is not just a yarn shop, it’s a ministry and a mindset.

Well, it seems the "spring" weather here has already sprung us forward into summer, so we are all chillin' in the Sit-n-Knit area and you're welcome to join us anytime...we would love to have you!

AND we want you to meet our new Donation Coordinators, Deb and Peggy. They will be working closely with everyone to help facilitate our growing donation chest! Last year your donated items went to 12 different organizations all around the world...PLUS the items that were given locally to family,  friends and neighbors!
As your donations continue to pour in and overflow the donation chest, we want to say...THANK YOU!
Our next two shipments are coming up, if you have anything you would like to add.

1~~~ a mission trip to Kenya. We are supplying hats for all the kids in the village! That's right around 200 darling children. The request is for bright and fun colors!
2~~~ ongoing donations of shawls and scarves to be sent to China with Peggy & Jon with Global Partners in Hope.

We have also a few new yarns and colors coming for the summer months! (sneak peek!) New items arriving often, so hope you'll come enjoy a little time here with us!

Thanks again for all YOU do to help make this ministry possible....we are blessed to be a blessing!

Come join our CIRCLE of friends
and be SQUARE!

We are very happy to say that we have had LOTS of donated yarn come in this summer and we have a plan for it, too!
You're invited to join us every third Saturday for our Blanket Project.

Everyone is welcome to pick from the donated yarn section and square off with one another. 😉

Knitting, crocheting, loom knitting, tunisian....whatever works for you!
We're all making 8" x 8" squares that will be put together to make baby blankets and lap blankets for the #DonationChest here at the shop.

Hope to  see you in the Sit-n-Knit room soon!

Please join us in welcoming our Shepherds!

We are sooooo excited to introduce to you the Lamb's Loom Shepherds! As we begin our THIRD YEAR, these lovely ladies have volunteered to help you in the shop or Sit-n-Knit Room. Thankfully, things are growing and more items are being added to the shop all the time, so as we grow we hope to add to the FUN and enjoyment of everyone that comes in.

Our heartfelt thanks also goes to all the people who keep bringing in yarn to our Donation Station! This yarn is being used to make lots of different items that are then donated to so many people here at home and across the world.
YOU ALL help make this possible, thank you!!!

Summer Already?

It is hard to believe it, but summer is almost here! We are busy getting classes all set and some are already listed on this blog...just click on the CLASSES tab and you will find the listing. All our events are listed on our calendar, too, so feel free to share with your friends!

We really want to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who keeps adding to the donation chest. Currently, it is filling up within the week!!!! Space Bags abound around here! We are sooooo happy to see how God is getting the word out about the missions that we serve and the things He keeps adding to what we can do.

There will be a delivery of the condiments to Reynosa soon, so if you have anything you would like to drop by, please do!!!

As for the shop, happy to report that more and more local people are finding the shop everyday! Driving in from Brownsville, Corpus and RGC! Thank y'all for sharing and getting the word out to everyone!!!!
Last month we added Malabrigo Yarn to our selection and picked up a few new yarns from Universal  and Cascade Yarns. We also have three new ladies who are contributing their lovely work to the consignment collection. We're only able to do this because of your support and help, so THANK YOU!!!
