YAY! That's right....Lamb's Loom peeps are on the loose again this year and we want you to join us, with the rest of the world, and celebrate WORLDWIDE KNIT IN PUBLIC DAY 2018! This year to be held on Saturday, June the 9th

Thank you to our friends at City Cafe and Catering for inviting us back again this year :)
And Coffee with Companions , our neighbor on Upas, has plenty of fun space ready for you, too!
So, grab your needle, hook or loom and join us! Come make a few new friends and share a little yarn fun.

As usual, our #SitnKnitRoom will be open for anyone who would like to join us here at the shop, too!

Thank you soooo much to everyone who turned out to celebrate Worldwide Knit in Public Day 2016 with us....
AND the world!

We hope you all had as much fun as we did! Our friends with the Nuri Food Truck came and fed everyone all day, working away in the heat!!! We will definitely have them back again...what wonderful people! AND the food was wondermous! THANK YOU NURI FOOD TRUCK! 

Thanks to all of you for passing out cards and sharing about the ministry of The Lamb's Loom! We had several NEW people come in and check things out, sign up for classes and ask lots of questions. We are super excited to see what the rest of the summer holds! 



 NOW, mark your calendar for The Lamb's Loom SECOND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION, August 26 & 27, that's going to be all kinds of FUN!!!

First we have to say thank you to everyone who is helping with this in soooo many ways!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts….it is going to be a FUN day!!!

Over the years there have been local events in Australia, China, England, Finland, France, Ireland, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, United States and so many more countries…we’re representing South Texas!!! So, send in your pics for the day and we will share across the world!

Also, our thanks again to the businesses that are opening their doors to so many Valley knitters!!!

Our Day:

9 am – meet at shop to yarn bomb front of store, if you would like

10am – leave for locations

1-4ish – return to shop for a little more knitting/crocheting

            AND lunch at the Nuri FOOD TRUCK

WWKiP Day is the largest knitter run event in the world! Hope you’ll come join in the fun!

This event really is taking place ALL over the globe in local parks, coffee shops and the like. As we are representing South Texas...and it is a little hot for a park...we are so very thankful to the local businesses who have jumped in and said YES to being our "public" places!!!

Worldwide Knit in Public Day 2016

SAVE THE DATE ~ Saturday, June 18th is WORLD WIDE KNIT in PUBLIC DAY!

We have registered with WWKiP Day to represent our area of the world, so please

join us in the fun as the world knits together!

We have several businesses and locations where we will meet up, so grab a friend and sign up to join the fun!

9:00 - Yarn bomb outside of Lamb's Loom!!!

10:00 - 2:00 Knit in Pubic places

2:00-4:00ish Story sharing at The Lamb's Loom

TShirts are available at the shop now. S-M-L-XL-XXL all $10 thru 6/18

What FUN!

World Wide Knit in Public Day was a blast!!! 

Thanks to everyone who participated in everything from yarn bombing the front of the shop to sitn' and knitn' all over the place! We are sooooo blessed by all of you!

Ann and her group got to teach
a group of peeps from Kohl's and had a wondermous time. Kohl's also gave the Lamb's Loom a donation toward the work that is done in making hats for the kids in Mexico and China. PLUS, all these wonderful employees of theirs donated the hats they made! Thank y'all!!!

Here are some pics from some of our other locations, too....

Renee's of Sharyland ~ where Tomas introduced them to the restaurant and they were welcomed with applause from the whole place! Barbara, Mathy and Caroline were able to share with everyone about the prayer shawl ministry and the fun we have in serving together.

Langford Market had a special spot picked out and Sandra and her daughter got to sock making!

MoonBeans, altho' under construction, made a nice corner for our group and they got to work on hats and scarves. As it worked out, everyone that came in for coffee had to pass right by them, so they had a "captive audience" to share with.

City Cafe was just wondermous! Dottie, Jo, Elizabeth and Maria  had a great time sitting inside, out of the heat, and talking to all the customers there, also. The City Cafe staff really spoiled them and  invited them all back next year!

And of course, the Border Stitchers were well represented at Barnes and Noble. B & N also had a special section set apart just for them!  This wonderful group has really helped get the word out and we are truly blessed to know them all!

AND there will be a next year! According to the WWKiP site, 10 more countries were represented this year! That brought the total to 882 events in 56 countries.

the 1st Tuesday of the month we will be open 5 -8 pm

Hope you'll join us for a little time in the Sit 'n Knit room...there's a comfy chair waiting just for you!

 

Oh, what a fun spring we've had! Lots of classes and so many new friends!!! Audrey's group made teddy bears and laughed a lot

The Tunisian Crochet class produced a whole bunch of bunnies, too!

Plans are well under way for Worldwide Knit in Public Day, too! Saturday, June 13th is going to be all kinds of FUN!!!
Here's our plan so far....

9am ~ meet at shop to YARN BOMB the front of the store and one other surprise item.
10am-2ish ~ disperse to locations all over town to represent WWKiP
12-4 ~ back at shop for snacks/and yummy stuff and to share stories....and a few pics!
